Project 1
Our first major project in Villamaría, Caldas, Colombia, where we are restoring a worn-down cement soccer court into a safe and vibrant space for children who face significant challenges in their community. By revitalizing this space, we aim to create a positive environment that offers 200+ at-risk children an opportunity for personal growth and strengthens their connection to the community, providing an alternative to the pressures that surround them. We also aim to reduce the injuries caused by the current court and increase youth participation.
We are excited to announce our fundraising campaign to rebuild and renovate this court. This space can be the heart of the community, providing a safe environment for sports and community engagement. Unfortunately, wear and tear over the years has left it needing essential repairs.
How your support will transform the community
New Fencing and Structural Support We will replace 600 m squared of netting and install 40 new support poles
New Turf and Draining System New system will prevent flooding and muddy conditions
Improved Lightning The field currently only has one working floodlight. We will install four new floodlights
New Entry Gate and Paved Walkways The fields surroundings have holes, causing unsafe conditions. We will install a gate and pave the perimeter for safer access
Essential Equipment and Repairs We will install new goals, replace broken fencing, and upgrade structural elements
